IVUS Core Lab
Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) is a technique providing cross-sectional, high-resolution tomographic images of the arterial wall. ClinNext IVUS Core Lab offers facility for the cross-sectional image analysis with a 360-degree view of the vessel is generated with the help of dedicated catheter having ultrasound-based technology. This technique yields qualitative and quantitative assessment of the extent and severity of arterial atherosclerotic disease by detecting luminal, external elastic membrane and stent boundaries. ClinNext Core Lab has State of the art IVUS image analysis software facility that provide impartial judgement in unassisted manner. ClinNext IVUS Core Lab follows the guidelines of 2018 ESC/EACTS Guidelines on myocardial revascularization and 2021 ACC/AHA/SCAI Guideline for Coronary Artery Revascularization.
ClinNext IVUS lab is able to quantify luminal area, vessel area, scaffold/stent area, plaque thickness, and area obstruction. In addition, quantitative and qualitative assessment of incomplete stent apposition enables evaluation of the efficacy of devices and pharmacotherapy. It is predominantly used as an interventional approach for the below-mentioned applications.
- Characterization of lesion morphology, location, and length
- Real-time evaluation of lumen dimension, vessel size
- Offers significantly higher resolution (axial resolution is 100 to 150 μm)
- Quantification of plaque burden
- Guiding in stent sizing
- Assessing stent positioning and expansion
- Identification of procedural complications
- Provides good penetration depth
